Project Testimonials

Fermathe, Haiti

Dear Dave and Tom,

Deb and I wanted to write to you to express our satisfaction at the really superb installation you did at our house. You might think that a fairly ordinary 2.1KW solar panel system, with all the required electronics, is no big deal, but when you consider that the job was at the top of a 5,500 foot mountain in Haiti at the end of a mountain goat road and that almost nothing was available locally except wire, this job was anything but ordinary.

With nothing but the light-weight suitcase loads allowed on the airlines these days, you managed to bring everything needed for an almost flawless installation. We know that you must have spent a lot of time thinking about what to bring and what could be left behind and it paid off. If memory serves, the only non-covered unforeseen was a broken post on a special--and non-critical--circuit breaker. Apart from your technical abilities, you both showed admirable social skills as well in mentoring the small crowd of willing, and largely unskilled, local technicians who dearly wanted to learn these new skills. They are still talking about the experience and looking for jobs in the sector!

Dave and Tom, you made this rather strange step we are taking--to live entirely off grid in Haiti--a lot less scary. The panels are producing electricity as advertised and our batteries are fully charged; we're ready for anything. We are very pleased with your service and we look forward to seeing you in Haiti installing for people we have recommended you to and as friends.

With warm regards,
Deb and John Currelly
